Great value for money and really easy to use notebook.
Pluses going for this-
Easy to upgrade the memory without invalidating your warranty
Fantastic battery life - 4-12hours depending on usage, with the latest bios firmware
Easy upgrade of firmware
Includes restore discs which a lot of other notebooks don’t
Includes a pretty nice case
Lots of USB ports and a media drive
Touchpad works really well and lots of nice gestures
Bright screen and good resolution, also higher resolutions available if your outputting the graphics
Not a lot of bloat software
Cons -
No S-video or HDMI out, but for the price point it’s to be expected
Right shift key is still a little weedy
Little wide at the base because of the battery
Driver updates aren’t always found on the Asus site so you’ve got to go searching

The Eee PC 1000HE by Asus comes in Fine Ebony style that has a much longer battery life than previous models, up to 9 hours with the help of the new Intel N280 processor and Asus Super Hybrid Engine battery technology. The Eee PC has a sturdy LED backlit display with a high-resolution screen. At 1024 x 600 pixels, images are clear and sharp, making it more comfortable on the eyes reading and editing documents. Typing has also gotten easier with the new chicklet keyboard, which gives you wide keys that are spread out to help prevent mistyping.
