Acer Aspire One AOD150-1920 10.1-Inch Ruby Red Netbook - 6.5 Hour Battery Life Review

I bought the acer laptop once we changed to Verizon and FINALLY got DSL. My old desktop (which has all my software on it and I know like the back of my hand and is, like, 10 years old and working great so I’m NOT replacing it)for some reason just refused to load the verizon dsl software /router thingie despite 4, count ‘em 4 hours on the phone with tech support, stumping even the tech’s in India. So after years of dial up I was still unable to get dsl on my old computer. Sigh. So what the heck. Spend 0 and voila. Portable internet. It’s a bit of a hassel, but I’ve found flash drive a big help to send files I create on my big computer (artist, designer) and I love watching tv and checking email on the sofa, working on my blog, etc. The tiny screen and keyboard take some getting used to, and I had trouble with my “m” key…it completely stuck..and in my effort to “fix” it came completely off, so now I just have to touch the naked little M nipple to type M. it could be fixed but shipping to service center is 1/4 the price of the computer, so I just make do. I’m definately getting my money’s worth out of it! I’d like to consolidate my acer and my old geizer to a snazzy new laptop with a big ole screen at some point when I can afford it, meanwhile, this little fella is serving me very well. Worth the $ for sure. A real treat to take it on a trip recently and check email on the road. NO I don’t have a blackberry like 99% of the rest of the world. Leave me alone about it. I’ll catch up to technology one of these days. I just got DSL for cryin’ out loud. Gimme a break.
