With Ubuntu 7.10, to connect to wireless networks was great. Linux for many years was just for the freaks. I really feel that the only thing holding Linux back was the problems with the installation of Linux on laptops. Either had problems with screen resolution, your touchpad and / or your wireless network card. The only people you could work the wireless part of the Linux command line would have to have skills and be able to either program, the driver that you own your searchan obscure in a forum of the website.
