Ubuntu Wireless
With Ubuntu 7.10, to connect to wireless networks was great. Linux for many years was just for the freaks. I really feel that the only thing holding Linux back was the problems with the installation of Linux on laptops. Either had problems with screen resolution, your touchpad and / or your wireless network card. The only people you could work the wireless part of the Linux command line would have to have skills and be able to either program, the driver that you own your searchan obscure in a forum of the website. Then, after many hours of labor to operate the wireless adapter would be, but they could only connect to WEP encrypted networks in conjunction with WPA not WPA2.
Now with Ubuntu 7.10, I installed it on three different laptop models with great success. Screen resolution was touchpad and the card works with almost any standard. Enable wireless card has an extra step, but for me the occasion, Ubuntu automatically as the driver asked, allow the third installParty is not driver. There was a no command line needed, and advise users not obscure forums for bad.
Linux is great, but Ubuntu wireless is just awesome. I had Unbutu installed and running in less than 15 minutes. Means that the driver and standard applications is linked me to a wireless network. If you have Windows XP or Windows Vista installed, you will need 30 minutes for the base operating system to load, then you must find all the drivers and install the basic applications, hello twoHours later, you will be willing to work me. 15 minutes or 2 or more hours you make the call.
Upon receipt of the Ubuntu 7.10 connected to your wireless network, you can access to all the thousands of free applications, which has the Linux community have put together. I do not know how many people I met who say that the only reason why they do not like Linux is because they do not run correctly on your laptop. Do not wait, Ubuntu 7.10 runs great and will connect to the network byDefault.

I have called them more than 30 times already and they h... Read more reviews | ||

| Review by Michelle Lewis (Atlanta, GA) 2010-06-02 Ok, Here is the long and the short. I got it and it did not work. I gave two stars because it came early in the mail. It has never worked. Then I had to call tech services and had to stay on the phone with them for hours to figure out that the thing was broken and needed to be sent back. I could have told them that from the beginning. I was conside... Read more reviews | ||

| Review by Shelley Batts (Ann Arbor, MI USA) 2010-07-28 The "millenial" generation of women has grown up knowing they can have it all, and this netbook seems like a direct product of a savvy female up in the ranks of HP. The quality of this netbook is top notch. It has all the bells and whistles that one can expect with a micro computer, and lots of surprises. Unless you are running Photoshop or somethi... | Review by Antonio Quinonez-munoz (Woodinville, WA USA) 2010-07-15 Obviously not for high-end gaming. I use my writing and surfing the Internet and Twitter. The keyboard is excellent, the start-up is a little 'slow, but waking up from sleep mode does the trick when using very fast. The biggest problem is that the transition from the power of wireless is, but this can also typical for notebooks... Read more reviews | ||
